A bit of phone-cam formalism

colour, line, form
I mostly confine photography to my professional photography website (www.stephenrileyphoto.co.uk), but the medium does form an important part of my fine art practice too, though I seldom get chance to share it. And what I shoot from fine art impulses is rather different from my commercial camera work, not only in content, but also quite often in technique and execution: in my commercial work I am keen to get the optimum, clear, well-lit professional image; here, I am more concerned with the meaning of what is depicted, or sometimes just the abstract qualities of what is there and how the act of photographing it captures and/or changes it.

So here's a bit of art for art's sake, photography for photography's sake: a rather beautiful - in my humble opinion - bit of formalism, taken on a simple phone camera.
